On Monday we were all up and about again, although Daddy still seemed very fluey. I had Lauren for OT in the afternoon near Daddy’s office, so Mom and I decided to get him some meds to drop off at his work. I also chose a teddy bear for him. We arrived at Daddy’s work just in time as he was leaving. I decided to make the most of this opportunity and drive home with him.

On Tuesday Mom got me a sandpit and lid to put on my balcony. In the evening Dad and I set up on the balcony and I played in the sand hiding Emmet and getting Daddy to dig through all the sand to find him!

On Thursday Mom and Dad collected me from school, as well as to have a meeting with Teacher Janine to discuss my progress. In the afternoon Colleen brought Joseph to play and he and I emptied out an entire bag of flour over my climbing blocks for some tactile experience. It was so much fun. Also, on Thursday afternoon Mischka arrived to stay with us while Shelli, Joseph, Naomi and Noa went to Israel. I was thrilled to have him around.

Friday morning Mischka came with to drop me off at school. He was a huge hit with all my friends. In the afternoon we started a slightly different approach to speech therapy as Nikki will now be coming to our house for my therapies. I was thrilled, and the session went really well.

Saturday morning Mom left early to get to my school as she was helping at the prego stand for my Big Walk. Dad and I joined a little later. Upon arriving I decided that the Big Walk wasn’t my thing, but that cooking was! So I donned an apron and helped Mom prepare prego rolls. Dad went off and did a few rounds in my Big Walk to gather stamps for me! He even ‘borrowed’ Jayden to walk with him! After Dad finished my Big Walk for me, he and I went about getting ‘customers’; Dad would lead me to a group of people where I would say a nicely rehearsed speech of “Excuse me. My Mommy makes the best prego rolls. Please come buy one for R20!” Each time I sprinted back to the prego stand there were more customers. My marketing was clearly working.

After my Big Walk we headed off to Sandton City to swap a Lego Movie toy Dad had got me. They didn’t have any more Lego Movie Legos so I was devastated. Instead I chose a house with furniture and a family. I played with it throughout lunch at Doppio Zero.

On Sunday Mommy and Granny went to church. Dad and I went out for lunch at Fego’s. While parking I spotted the Exclusive Books and told Dad I needed some books – I’ve learned that the one thing Mom and Dad never say no to is books! So during lunch Dad and I decided what books I wanted to choose – I decided on something from….you guessed it….The Lego Movie!

Daddy was very proud of me in the bookstore as I looked through all the shelves and decided on the Lego Movie books I wanted. We spent the rest of the day looking through my books and doing the activities in them. We also played Lego. By late afternoon I curled up in front of the TV and promptly fell asleep.

Until next week!
