Monday was a pretty uneventful day with some school in the morning and chilling out at home in the afternoon.

On Tuesday evening Mommy had a meeting so Daddy and I went to dinner together at the Spur in Victory Park. It was so much fun. I played up a storm on the jungle gym and when my food arrived Dad and I sat side by side chatting and eating. For dessert we had ice cream and before it was time to leave Daddy taught me how to ask for the bill and I even ‘wrote’ the tip to the waiter in myself.

Daddy took me to school on Wednesday morning as he had an early appointment in Sandton.

Thursday was an extremely exciting day for us. At school we celebrated CANSA’s Shavaton. I had my hair painted in my favourite colour – green. After school Mom took me to neurotherapy and then in the afternoon we met Daddy at Sandton City where we paid for our trip to Paris. It was so exciting. We walked around Sandton City afterwards and bought a few odds and ends for our travels, including a Space Angry Bird for me – a vital travel companion! Sandton City had a bunch of Easter events for us littleys including a merry-go-round which I had a whale of a time riding. For dinner I convinced Mom and Dad we needed to go to McDonalds for dinner. There I played and stomped on the EyeToy popping balloons and soccer.

It was Good Friday so we all chilled and got off to a late start. At midday we collected Di and Catriona to go to movies at Hyde Park, but unfortunately Catriona wasn’t up to it so we brought them home to our house to chill and have some quiet time during their trip. On the way home we stopped to buy some groceries and I piled the trolley high with goodies that I thought would make Catriona feel better, including a chocolate cake. At home we played and watched TV. I think Catriona was thrilled to be reunited with some uninterrupted CeeBeeBies and a companion to watch with.

We ran a bunch of errands on Saturday morning and then collected Tamsin and her friend as she needed a lift to St Sithians for the rugby festival. After an afternoon snooze Ryan, Paul and Claudi arrived for Easter celebrations. Just before the sun set we discovered the Easter Bunny had visited the front garden. Ryan and I charged out with baskets in hand and Shaun-the-Sheep backpacks to collect all our goodies. We screamed in delight as we found chocolate eggs and toys hidden around the garden. After our hunt we halved our bounty and chilled in the lounge.

After it had gotten dark another announcement was made, to say the night Easter Bunny had been. Brandishing UV torches Ryan and I stormed into the garden. As we played our torches over the garden the UV light picked out luminous glowing eggs. Again we screamed in delight as we found more and more glowing eggs in the dark with our special torches. Pretty soon we were convinced that we found all our haul, but clearly we weren’t thorough enough as Roxy and Lucy found some missed eggs.

For the rest of the evening we played with my trains and painted and made objects out of Play-Doh. In the kitchen we ‘cooked’ and made a huge mess! What fun. We had a gel bath which was really great and we managed to scrub off all the remnants of our cooking exercise.

As we’d all gotten to bed really late on Saturday night we slept in a little on Sunday. Granny had stayed over so I had an early morning play with her. For lunch we went to Papachinos for a play on the jungle gyms. The afternoon was spent catching up on some much needed sleep.

That’s it for this week! Happy Easter everyone.

Hugs
