We were all quite tired on Monday having arrived back from Sun City really late the night before, and with me staying up for the drive home to write my blog. By early evening we were all ready for bed.

Mommy had a really really bad tummy bug for the week so she couldn’t go to work. Dad took me to school every morning for the week and collected me a few times too. I had Be Sharp Beetles after school on Wednesday and Daddy arrived early enough to watch the last bit of our class. He was just in time to hear Miandi talking about how bad littering was. She had strewn torn up papers all over the floor for us to “click up” using castanets. I immediately got to work on this and put the litter in the bin, and not in a pile like everyone else. This got me extra brownie points and pretty soon Miandi got everyone putting the papers in the bin. At the end of class I got my tummy stamped and a special thanks for my innovative thinking.

On Thursday Mommy arrived with a shiny brand new red B-Class Merc. I was thrilled. Sadly it was only a loan vehicle as her car was in for a service. I’ve been working on Daddy ever since to buy it for Mommy as I really liked it. Instead of a gear lever it had paddles on the steering wheel. So cool!

In the evening I hopped into my bath fully clothed with a box of icing sugar. What fun!

Friday Mommy collected me from school early and took me to OT with Lauren. In the afternoon Granny came to visit and we all chatted and had cake. Daddy was home early too.

I was a little more fluey by Saturday so all our plans were put on hold. We all stayed home for the day watching TV, playing games and building train sets. I spent the whole day in my pyjamas.

Sunday morning we were out of the house nice and early to go and see Despicable Me 2! I was thrilled. Before the movie started we got popcorn, sweets and cold-drinks. I’m such a big boy now that I carry and salt my own snacks for the movies. We took our seats just in time and donned our 3D glasses. What a blast. I found the movie so funny and loved the Minions and the new goody-goody Mr Gru!

After movies we wondered around Sandton City a while and did some errands. Daddy needed a few things from the iStore – a favourite store of mine. Just before leaving we got some ice creams and then met Paul, Claudi and Ryan at The River Café. It was so full there wasn’t a single place to sit.

After a quick conference and a few phone calls we opted to go to Grannies House in Blairgowrie. By contrast with The River Café we were the only people there. Ryan and I played up a storm. Rode down the zip line. Threw sand around in the ‘beach room’, and played dress up. We spent the whole afternoon there and had a blast.

All too soon the sun started heading further to the horizon and it was time for us to go. Hugs all round as we made plans to meet during the week again.

Back home I spent the rest of the evening playing Toy Story on PlayStation. I’m really hooked on this game at the moment. Eventually Daddy had to unplug the screen to get me to lift my head and write my blog.

Til next week!

Love,
Jay-Bee
