Monday I was still on mid-term break, so no school! Granny came by for the morning and helped Mommy with some work.

It was back to school on Tuesday morning, but not before I wrote Daddy a letter, actually an ultimatum, that I’m not going back to my current school because there is a bully there. Fortunately I won’t be there much longer. I had speech after school which went very well. At home a nice surprise was awaiting me. Granny had been really industrious during the morning, and converted the top bunk of my bed into a home theatre. I was thrilled. I can watch TV and videos there, as well as play my games. And all around are my fluffy toys to keep me company.

Dad was hardly through the door and I dragged him upstairs to my room to show him my new setup. He loved it too! He said that he and Mom lived in a double storey and I’m in a triple storey. So awesome. A little later in the day I asked Dad to swing me on my balcony. After a while I demanded a story, so he told me the story about Dusty in Planes. I listened intently as he told the story and once he was finished I announced “Dad, you forgot a few pages – what about Franz, the German airplane that changes into a car!” Dad was giggling at the ‘forgot a few pages’!

Later in the evening after I excused myself from the dinner table, and took our plates to the kitchen (it’s what I do!), I sang ‘No sleep to Brooklyn’ – Mom and Dad had a real chuckle at that too; it’s from a Beastie Boys song that Daddy plays to me sometimes!

Wednesday Daddy decided to take me to school. I was very chatty, and when Dad opened the boot of his car to get my bag out I commented on everything in his boot – the PwC CDs, the PwC bound packs, and to finish off I said to Dad “Enjoy your lunch at PricewaterhouseCoopers today!” I love the name of my Daddy’s work.

After school I had music, which I enjoyed as always. At home I decided to bake a cake. I made a round cake and iced it with vanilla and decorated it with Hershey kisses. It was a real hit for tea in the evening.

Thursday after school Mom and I played lots of games, and Daddy surprised us be coming home earlier than expected. He messaged us to say he had a late meeting, which ended up not happening. I was so happy he was home.

Friday Daddy was looking ultra-smart for work. He had his nicest suit on and the tie I bought him for his birthday. I asked him why he was dressed so nicely, so he told me he had a presentation to make to a client. I didn’t understand any of this and when I quizzed Daddy a little more he told me it was like my ‘show and tell’. “Ooooohhh” I said “Is your theme also puppets this week? You can borrow my Puss in Boots hand puppet for your show and tell!” Daddy just grinned and gave me a huge hug. He then showed me the ‘pack’ he was presenting – I didn’t think it was as cool as a puppet, but that’s adults for you. Also, I asked if I could present at his ‘show and tell’ – somehow Daddy wasn’t too keen on that.

Mommy collected me early and took me to OT with Lauren. Afterward it was my mandatory Friday visit to McDonalds for a nice long play. Daddy came home a little earlier, looking very excited but tired. Apparently his ‘show and tell’ went very well – ‘the client bought it’ he said. I’m so confused, no one buys my things from show and tell.

We all decided to go to movies on Saturday morning to see Khumba, a 3D South African movie. To get ready I decided I’d shower myself; since I have my own full en suite bathroom now I might as well make use of it. I heard Mom and Dad just outside the bathroom giggling as I was singing and soaping myself down, exactly like Dad does! I even chose my own (matching) clothes and dressed myself!

At the movies, I salted and got my own straws for my cold drink – I’m becoming super independent! The movie was really awesome and I giggled in some parts and other parts I was a little frightened. Afterwards we shopped using my pocket money – an Iron Man 3 car that is really super-dee-duper. Granny arrived in the afternoon and we all had a little snooze.

In the evening we popped out to our new little local – Pane E Vino. Mom and Dad glow with pride when they take me to a restaurant, especially in the evenings, as I’m so well behaved. I order from the waiter myself, and I thank him each time he does something for me. I don’t run off from the table and I try participate in the discussion. When this gets too difficult I admit my attention gets drawn to playing on my Nintendo or iPad.

Sunday morning we headed out for a play which was really nice, but halfway through the day I just had an emotional meltdown – I’m not sure what triggered it. Mom, Dad and Granny could do nothing to console me. Eventually Daddy suggested a visit to Toy-R-Us Express where he spoilt me with a new Infinity character and some power discs. It made me feel a little better, and by the time we were home and Daddy had loaded my new characters and their power ups I was calming down. Mom and Granny went for a snooze, and Dad and I played in the Infinity worlds – I’m honestly sometimes not sure if he’s buying them for me or for himself!

Dad and I spent the afternoon watering the garden and tending to the pool. We then proceeded to fix the washing machine – it turned out it had gulped and choked on a sock which we extracted. In the afternoon Mom and I made Cars cupcakes. I decided to add blueberries and banana to the mix – Mom wasn’t too convinced it would be a good idea, but once they were baked and ready to eat they were divine!

Well, that’s it for this week. We’re well into summer now and the days are getting hotter and hotter, which we’re loving!

Love,

Jarrod
