It’s been a rather quiet week.

I started off Tuesday with a fever, so I ended up staying at home. I sat and played on the floor of the study while Mommy worked. I had a cold bath with lots of foam, because that’s what I needed. I then snoozed again and just tried to get better.

Tuesday evening we invited Granny for dinner; after dinner I left the need to retire, as I was dosing off at the dinner table. Dad took me to bed and I was asleep before Granny left.

Wednesday I was back at school as I was feeling better, and Wednesday’s are one the easier days of the week. On the way home I announced to Mom what I wanted to spend my pocket money on – Lord Business’ Evil Lair from the Lego Movie. I’ve been saving my pocket money for almost 7 weeks now, so I had enough.

I was thrilled! At home Mom got down to building it for me and pretty soon it was all done. It is really awesome, as in ‘Everything is Awesome’. It has a President Business who transforms into Lord Business. There’s a Ma Cop and Pa Cop, complete with Kragle gluing them to the ground. The all-important Emmet is present and accounted for, complete with a Piece of Resistance. I spent the rest of the day hard at play with my Legos.

Thursday morning I FaceTimed with Granny and asked her to come visit. I was staying home again as I just wasn’t getting better. Poor Daddy had a migraine, and had to facilitate the development of a target operating model for his client – I felt so bad for him, but he did survive.

Friday Mom dropped me off at Granny’s place as Mommy had a doctor’s appointment. It was a lot of fun visiting with Granny. We played ‘tennis’ with my bunny and a balloon. In the afternoon Mom and I went to the River Café to visit with some of my friends. I played with Ryan and Joseph and we had an absolute ball.

Back at home Dad and I built an ‘old school’ style Lego truck, i.e. just with blocks, no instructions. He even made a rack and pinion type steering mechanism for it, all with ‘old’ Legos. I was pretty impressed.

In the evening we went to Granny’s complex to have dinner at the restaurant there. It was really nice. Dad and I watched a couple playing tennis for a while. It is definitely starting to get colder in the evenings, and we decided that next time we have dinner there we’ll have to sit inside.

We visited Granny for a short while afterward, and Daddy helped programme Granny’s TV. I was really starting to get tired so it was time to leave.

Saturday Dad and I played up a Lego storm in the morning, but I tired him out as he had to go lie down after about 3 hours! In the afternoon Dad had poker, and Mom and I headed to the Toys-R-Us for the Batman Lego set. Afterward we met Christiaan and his Mom at Papachinos for a relaxed afternoon visit.

Sunday we all woke up fluey, and basically we stayed in bed until midday. Eventually I dragged Dad out of bed to play some (you guessed it) Lego with me. Mom stayed in bed with a marathon session of ‘Game of Thrones’. We realised that Mom wasn’t in our world anymore, so in the late afternoon Dad and I went to the Mushroom Farm Park for a play and a run. I had an awesome time.

Well that’s it for this week.
