After school on Monday Mom took me to see Lauren for some OT. As always, I really enjoy seeing her and I had a good session. I was supposed to play tennis after school on Tuesday but I old the teacher I didn’t want to play. I’m at that point where I’m saying no to a lot of things and I’m starting to get myself into trouble.

On Wednesday morning Daddy left really early – he was spending the next couple of days at a venue for a client strategy session. Mom got a call to say that Braam Beegte, my play therapist, had a slot for me in the afternoon and wanted to see me. We arrived, but then he wasn’t available. This has happened to us twice already and is proving extremely frustrating and wasteful. As an adventure we stayed with Granny in the evening. I did spend the evening moaning about the fact that I missed my animals and wanted to go home.

Thursday a massive cold front descended on us, and we all froze! On Thursday evening Granny came and spent the night with us, which was more to my liking.

Daddy got home on Friday in the late afternoon, and he wasn’t home for long when he fell asleep. The strategy sessions he was running were planned well into the night, and when he finally got to his room, he still needed to work and prep for the next day. He did tell me though that he meet James Durno at the strat session; Daddy used him as a cartoonist to capture some of the outcomes. If you’re wondering why this is significant it’s because I used his Christmas Cards on my first Christmas Blog to help celebrate – see here!

Saturday morning we popped into Bedford Shopping Centre to see the new Wizard of Oz movie. It wasn’t the best movie we’d seen and we actually found it a little boring. Afterwards we popped into Aladdin’s Cave Toy Shop to collect my new Mouse Trap which had been delivered to them earlier in the week. I was thrilled! In the afternoon we all snoozed and that became night.

Mom and Gran went to church on Sunday morning, while the boys stayed home. Dad made us bacon and eggs with cheese, but cut the tip of his thumb off. Those of you that know Dad well will know that he suffers from vasovagal and this triggered an episode. He actually coped really well, and seemed to have blacked out for only a few seconds, and fortunately he was already on the sofa at the time. I snuggled up to him and a while later he even finished my breakfast. Mom came home and tended to his cut, checking no stitches were needed.

Afterwards we went to the Raphael Suites in Sandton for Noa’s first birthday. I was thrilled, as the building is has the same name as one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (or TMNT for short). I had a blast, and Naomi and I had a picnic in the passage which everyone thought was very cute until we started ‘drawing’ on the walls with polystyrene! Boy, was I in trouble!

Back home we spent the afternoon indoors trying to keep warm. I played with my Mouse Trap and watched TV.

Til next week.
