Hello all,

This week has been a super busy week. Settling in after a super exciting weekend last weekend we’re down to the business of being usual.

Sadly there were no parties or cake or balloons this week, but there was lots of playing and getting to grips with all my new toys.

A couple of afternoons this week Granny came over to help Mom with the last of the boxes. Mom still believes that they are having babies because there are still at least two boxes in each room.

Dad has had to call in our maintenance guy and builder to do some tilling we didn’t account for as the entrance hall tiles exploded last weekend. He also has a lot of maintenance to do on the apartment.

On Tuesday I went to Neurotherapy and again on Thursday. On Tuesday I fell asleep in a very grumpy mood after the session with a major headache and Thursday I was as right as rain.

A highlight for the week was a “meet and greet” with Mickey and Minnie at Sandton followed by a milkshake with Claire and Katie at the Wimpy and afterwards Mom and I went to buy cushions and foot cushions for our TV/Family room. Daddy has fixed it up to be pretty cool. I can now play Wii, PS2 and watch TV and videos and hear it all on superdeeduper surround sound. I am very excited.

Mom was late a few times to collect me this week, but she explained that she was going to Eastgate to work, so the drive was further. On Friday we had our term ‘outing’, Traffic Kids came to our school. I rode an electric car and had to try catch up with Nathi. This event obviously coincides with our half term. I am very happy to see the back of this emotionally difficult term. Lauren and I had plenty of fun at OT on Friday but already I was showing signs of not feeling well as I was not moderating at all.

A new routine was started this week with Zionne making scrabbled egg for me in the morning for breakfast and us having a huge game of calling each other silly names.

On Thursday Mom and Gran took me to a garden nursery. I managed to secure myself some brightly coloured containers to do some gardening in and Gran spoiled us with a ton of herbs, and other plants. Mom also bought bird feeders and some more plants.

On Saturday late afternoon after work, Mom and Gran got down to the business of planting. Mom planted all the rose bushes she brought with and all the plants Granny had bought, she also planted some trees and pulled out some trees to plant elsewhere. I however did not feel up for it. I had a slight fever but I wasn’t down about it, I was all bubbly as the Amazon man had finally delivered my birthday presents. Diesel 10 for Trackmaster is by far my favourite and I’ve been sleeping with him. Misty Island Rescue for Take-n-Play is a close second and little Luke was just what I wanted.

Sunday Mom was at work again and afterwards when she came home we just played and my temperature started to spike. At 5pm we took Dad to the Gautrain as he is off to Zimbabwe and following that we went off to visit our dogs who have been evicted from our complex because they barked three nights in a row. We tried keeping them inside but that didn’t work so well. By the time 7pm arrived my fever was well above 40 and Mom was making plans. I’m not showing any obvious signs except a runny nose. I think we’ll just monitor for now.

Goodnight for a very shaky, sick little Jarrod.
